The ATS Scada is a PC used for monitoring, controlling, and programming multiple PMCP Controllers over a single communication port line or multiple port lines . The ATS Scada also monitors the generator status, up to 8, over the same communication network using the I/O Module (an ETC product). A total of 128 devices can be interrogated by the ATS Scada PC on a single communication line (single port) or multiple communication lines (maximum of 4 ports).
The serial port of the ATS Scada PC is connected to the Network Module. The Network Module converts the RS232 signals, or USB Port signals, to RS485 signals for communicating with the PMCP Controllers and the I/O Module(s) The Network Module contains 4 - RS485 Ports and the user may use a single RS485 Port or all four ports. This will depend on the network configuration. The ETC Network is ideal for new networks or it can replace an existing network. Click on the link to view the ETC Network. ETC Network Configurations
The PMCP Controller requires the Serial Communication PCB in order to communicate with the Scada PC. This PCB plugs into a connector on the PMCP. After installing the PCB, use the Laptop or Display Panel to program in the serial address. Each PMCP Controller must have an address and no two controllers can have the same address.
The ATS Scada provides four data acquisition screens. Three of the screens are related to the PMCP Controller and ATS information and the forth screen is used to monitor/display Pre-Alarms and Shutdown Alarms at the Engine. The alarm sensor outputs on the engine are connected to the inputs on the Input-Output Module (I/O Module). The resultant data is then transmitted to the Scada PC.
The maximum line length between the ATS Scada and any controller can not exceed 4000 feet. If the line length needs to be extended beyond 4000 feet, the Network Repeater is required. The Network Repeater provides the proper signal amplification to run an additional 4000 feet of communication cable.
Standard Features:
Monitor and control up to 128 devices on a single communication line or multiple port lines.
Control, monitor, and program parameters within the PMCP Controller
Monitor inputs and control outputs connected to the I/O Module terminal block
Move in and out of screens with ease.
Easy to read screens and completely user friendly.
A global engine start indicator.
Fast polling of devices for fast screen updating.
Modem Dial-up to access the ETC Network or access controllers on a separate isolated network, called a Modem Network.
